Dear Members, Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding while we have been gathering the relevant information to ensure a safe return to golf. The course will open on Thursday the 14th May. You can start booking your tee times from 6PM on Tuesday the 12th of May. You can book via BRS on the app or on our website, by email golf@elfordleigh.co.uk or by calling the Pro Shop during office hours on 01752 336428. Memberships will be reinstated, and first payment taken on the 18th of May. If you have cancelled your direct debit, please ensure we have your up-to-date bank details and your direct debit is reinstated. For any membership enquiries, please email membership@elfordleigh.co.uk. Membership rates will remain the same as they previously were. By keeping our membership rates the same, you are helping us to maintain the golf course and ensure sufficient staff to run the facility. General information -The opening hours will be between 0800-1700 from Monday-Sunday -We will accept bookings of: *One-balls *Two-balls *Three or four-balls ONLY for members of the same household -Members are initially allowed to play three rounds per week and with a maximum of one per day -The tee sheet will open on BRS each Friday morning at 8am for the following week -Limited hire buggies available for medical exemption and single use only (pre-booking required) -No hire trolleys -All members who use a locker are advised to arrange a time to collect their clubs and belongings and store at home for the time being -All club competitions are suspended It is imperative that you follow the Government's guidelines regarding hygiene and social distancing while at the golf club. Most importantly, DO NOT come to the club if you feel ill or have been around anyone who could be infected with Covid-19. Please find our guidelines below; they are subject to change as we are following the guidance from the Government and England Golf. These guidelines will apply to all golfers playing at Elfordleigh and will remain in place until otherwise advised. Before arrival at the club -DO NOT ARRIVE WITHOUT A TEE TIME. Book your tee time prior to arriving at the club -All names of players must be entered onto the booking, please do not enter just guest or visitor and ensure there is a contact number -Pre-book and pay for buggy (medical exemption and single use only) -Members guest fees MUST be paid in advance upon booking, either via the BRS App or over the phone On arrival at the club -Do not arrive more than 20 minutes before your tee time -Park in the hotel car park and try to leave a car space between yourself and other vehicles (please note, once the hotel re-opens the golfer’s top car park needs to be used again) -Unload your clubs and return to your car until 15 minutes before your tee time -Report to the pro shop and inform them you have arrived for your tee time booking. We need to monitor who is on the course, so it is important this is done. Failure to report will result in a ban. -Use hand sanitiser provided. Access to the shop will be controlled by staff. Pick up score card. -The changing rooms will be closed, but the men’s golfers’ toilets are to be used as unisex toilets On the course -Keep social distance of at least 2 meters at all times -Only two players at any one time will be allowed on the putting green and chipping area, for five minutes on each prior to your tee time. It should resemble; 1st group on the 1st tee, 2nd group on the chipping area, 3rd group on the putting green and 4th group in their car/Pro Shop -Do not tee off before your tee time -Do not touch flags -Putts can be conceded within 12 inches (putter grip length) -Do not pick up stray balls or those belonging to your playing partner -Do not spend longer than 3 minutes looking for balls -Keep your distance from Greenkeepers and respect them if they ask you to do something -Log both scores on one score card using Player A and B. Verbally agree scores after each hole and on completion -Bins and ball washers are not in use -Do not approach closer than 150 yards behind the group in front of you -All bunkers will be GUR- therefore take relief no nearer the hole. Use your club and/or shoe to smooth sand on completion -All movable obstructions, including yellow and red posts, direction markers etc., should not be touched, but treated as immovable objects with free relief taken; one club length After your round -Leave the course immediately after the 18th hole -Remember to wash your hands -Only if agreed by staff enter the Pro Shop to hand in your score card -Take-away refreshments are available, service time to be determined. To be consumed accordingly -Do not gather in the car park, but vacate the premises as quickly as possible after your round Please do not abuse the rules as we would like the course to be a safe place for all of our players, anyone abusing the guidelines will be issued a two-week ban. Will has been working tirelessly over the last few weeks to keep the course in good condition, bear in mind he has been working alone, so it will take some time to get it back to the high standards we are used to.
